This is something I’ve been carrying around for years. I created it in my Warren St. apartment in NY, moved it to another apt., took it to Nashville, carried it to a Queen Anne apartment in Seattle and now it’s been perched in front of me these past six years in this apartment. I guess it’s about 12 years old so it’s an oldie but goodie. It’s pretty self explanatory. These are celebrated proponents of peace, people I admire and to whose ideals I try to emulate. From the top, they are Aung San Suu Kyi, John Lennon, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Mother Teresa, Mahatma Gandhi, Tenzin Gyatso – the 14th Dalai Lama, Cesar Chavez and Nelson Mandela.
